Context

This one is mine. TMR Expense Tracker is an own product rather than client work, which makes it the clearest thing in this portfolio to point at when the question is how a product gets designed — what goes in, what stays out, and how ten different jobs end up feeling like one tool. Designed to make financial management simpler: track, understand, plan, grow.

A note on the figures: everything visible in these screenshots is demonstration data. They are shown exactly as they are, and nothing in this case study is a claim about anyone’s real financial position. Where a caption points at a screen, it names the screen rather than the numbers on it.

Overview

More than an expense tracker.

Ten modules bring personal spending, trading, investments, business performance and planning into one unified workspace — ten modules under one navigation.

NAVIGATION — TEN MODULES

Dashboard

Your entire financial picture. At a glance.

The opening screen carries net position, income and expenses, business profit, forex and crypto profit and loss, active goals, upcoming meetings and the financial charts.

  • Net position · Income & expenses · Business profit
  • Forex P&L · Crypto P&L · Active goals
  • Upcoming meetings · Financial charts

Expenses & income

Money coming in and going out, on one screen.

Detailed transaction records and visual category breakdowns sit on the same screen, so a category is one glance rather than a report.

  • Expenses organised by category, date and amount
  • Multiple income sources tracked in one place
  • A by-category breakdown beside the entries, not on a separate tab

EXPENSES

Forex journal

Turn every trade into data.

A trading journal that does the arithmetic: profit and loss tracking, win rate, average win and average loss, cumulative profit and loss, win and loss analytics, and the trade history behind them.

  • P&L tracking · Win rate · Average win / loss
  • Cumulative P&L · Win / loss analytics
  • Trade history

FOREX JOURNAL

Crypto portfolio

Holdings, allocation and what they are actually doing.

Total investment, current value, total profit and loss and return, with profit and loss by coin, an allocation view and the holdings table underneath.

  • Total investment · Current value · Total P&L · Return
  • P&L by coin · Allocation
  • Holdings

CRYPTO PORTFOLIO

Business profit

Separate business performance from personal finances.

Online and offline businesses are tracked side by side, each with its own categories, so the business number never quietly borrows from the personal one.

  • Revenue · Expenses · Profit
  • Business type — online and offline, filtered separately
  • Individual entries behind every total

BUSINESS PROFIT

Scheduler & notes

Financial management meets personal organisation.

A planning layer that lives inside the same workspace as the numbers — meetings and events in one module, plans and strategies in the other.

  • Scheduler — plan important meetings and events
  • Notes — keep financial plans, strategies and important information in one place

SCHEDULER

Goals

Turn financial goals into visible progress.

A goal card carries everything needed to judge it at a glance: the target, where it is now, when it is due and what kind of goal it is.

  • Target amount · Current progress · Deadline
  • Goal category · Progress tracking

GOALS

Analytics

Every module reports into one analytical view.

The analytics layer is the reason the modules are worth having together: income against expenses, cumulative net cash flow, expense categories, business profit, crypto allocation and forex performance in one place.

  • Income vs expenses · Cumulative net cash flow
  • Expense categories · Business profit
  • Crypto allocation · Forex performance

ANALYTICS — FINANCIAL OVERVIEW

The complete system

One system. Multiple financial dimensions.

Six dimensions, one workspace — which is the whole design argument. Each one would normally be a separate app, and separate apps are why nobody keeps any of them up to date.

Screens

The two remaining screens.

Product & architecture note

Local-first, and installable.

Data stays on the device. There are no accounts to create and nothing is uploaded, which removes the sign-up step, the password and the question of who holds the numbers.

It installs as a progressive web app, so it opens like an app from the home screen. Ten modules sit under one navigation, sharing one component system and reporting into one analytics layer — that is the reason ten quite different screens still read as one product.

A responsive, component-driven interface, designed and built end to end.

Local-first — data stays on the device and no account is required.

Install

Installable as a progressive web app.

The figures

Every number in these screenshots is demonstration data, used as provided. Nothing here describes a real financial position.
